Factors
Factors are numbers that we can multiply to get another number.
For example, 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 can be multiplied by another number to get 16.

Multiples
A multiple is a number that can be evenly divided by another number without a remainder.
Another way of thinking of multiples is any number that is in the times tables of a number.
Eg.) 72 is 9 x 8, therefore 72 is a multiple of 8 and 9.
