Connect three-dimensional objects with their nets and other two-dimensional representations (ACMMG111)
LO: To connect 3-D objects with their nets.
Know:
-
the definition of a net
-
the basic 2-D shapes
-
the properties of 3-D shapes (faces, edges and vertices)
Understand:
-
that nets using 2-D shapes can be used to create 3-D shapes.
Do:
-
I can connect 3-D objects with their nets.
What are Nets?

A net is a 3-D object unfolded back into a 2-D object. For example, a cube can be flattened into 6 equal squares.
