Performing operations with algebraic fractions is fairly easy. You just have to follow the same rules as you would with regular fractional values.

When adding or subtracting fractions, you just have to make sure that you are keeping the denominator the same before adding or subtracting.

When multiplying fractions you just have to multiply the numerator by the numerator and the denominator by the denominator.

When dividing fractions you just have to flip (find the inverse) of the second fraction and then multiply the fractions.
