Months of the Year

There are 12 months in a year.

January is the first month of the year, and December is the last month of the year.

Seasons

The year is also broken down into 4 seasons.

Each season the weather/temperature outside changes.

In the northern hemisphere, the seasons are opposite to those in the southern hemisphere because of the Earth’s tilt.

So when it’s summer in Canada, it’s winter in Australia.

When it is autumn in England, it’s spring in Australia.

They have opposite seasons compared to us in Australia.
