Capacity and Volume

Capacity is the measurement of how much an object can hold

Volume is the measurement of how much is actually in an object or how much space an object takes up.

The most common units to measure capacity are:

  • milliliters (about 20 drops of water)
  • liters (a jug of liquid)
  • kiloliters (a large swimming pool)

This is how you can convert between the different units of capacity.
